11.5" Fashion Doll Straight Knee Length Pencil Skirt with Ribbon Detail Pattern for Sewing

I decided to change it up a little from my previous post. When I started this blog, I was mainly crocheting Barbie Clothing, but originally, I was sewing most of the doll clothing I made.  Here is a Skirt pattern for Barbie.  It is really an easy pattern and very quick.

Barbie Pencil Skirt with Ribbon Detail

Barbie Straight Knee Length Pencil Skirt Pattern for Sewing

Materials needed:
Small piece of Fabric *I used Cotton Fabric
Velcro Tape (3/4" wide)
Ribbon

Directions:
  1. Cut a 4 inch x 6.25 inch  Rectangle of FabricThere are a couple of ways you can do this. Either use your rotary cutter and ruler to cut the Rectangle or Make a pattern to use. To make a pattern, you can use a ruler to make the correctly sized rectangle on a piece of copy paper or freezer paper. Then pin the pattern to your fabric and cut around the rectangle.
  2. I serge on each side of the Rectangle, but it is not necessary.
  3. Press under 1/4 inch hem on all sides of the rectangle.  Sew along the long sides of the rectangle to hem.
  4. Cut a 2 inch piece of the Velcro tape and cut it in half lengthwise. Take the loop side of the Velcro and pin to the right side of the skirt at the back seam.  Take the other side of the Velcro and pin to the wrong side of the opposite back seam. Then stitch on each side of the Velcro. You will have 2 rows of stitching down each side of the back opening.
  5.  Make side darts by putting the skirt on a Barbie wrong side out and then pin your darts.  See Picture Below.
  6. Sew darts.  See Picture below.
  7.  Optional: Cut a 5" piece of Ribbon and pin the ribbon on the right side of the skirt to one side on the front.  Fold over the ends of the ribbon to the back and sew the ribbon down.

Your Barbie Skirt is done. Press and Enjoy!

11.5” Fashion Doll (Barbie) V-neck Wrap Top Crochet Pattern

I have been trying to come up with a tank top to go with the shell shorts.  This top works well with them.  It only took me about 1.5 hours to complete, so it goes pretty fast.  Great addition to any Doll Wardrobe.  Let me know if you actually make the V-neck wrap Top and how it works for you.

I am hoping that I can get some of my 18" Doll Patterns up in a few weeks, although they take longer to crochet than the Barbie clothes. I also have another tank top and vest for Barbie that I am working on.  Happy Crocheting.

As always I have my finished crochet items on my etsy store at  https://www.etsy.com/shop/KJDollFashions?ref=l2-shopheader-name, if you don't want to take the time to crochet them yourself.
